The Whisky Chamber Single Cask Bottlings of Unusual Single Malt Whiskies Thomas B. Ide, The Whisky Chamber The Whisky Chamber is the realization of a lifelong dream: In 2006, I turned my whisky hobby into a career. Even during my student days, I had developed a taste for Scottish single malts, and when I was able to experience the special features of single cask bottlings at original strength during an extensive tour of Scotland in the 1980s, the foundation for my whisky collection was laid. Initially, I concentrated on collecting special and rare whisky bottles. But with regular trips to Scotland and increasing contacts at whisky distilleries, I also began investing in casks.
