The Reserva Exclusiva is the flagship of the Traditional Range from Venezuela's Botucal—also known internationally as Ron Diplomático. Produced at the Dusa distillery in the foothills of the Andes, near a national park, it is a blend with a high proportion of sugarcane honey, distilled 80% in pot stills and 20% in column stills. The rum is then aged for 8-12 years in ex-bourbon, ex-Scotch, and fresh American white oak barrels.
Aroma: Complex of fruitcake, raisins, cocoa, cinnamon and cloves.
Taste: Full-bodied chocolate, caramel and tropical fruits.
Finish: Accents of dark chocolate and orange.
