The Zacapa Centenario Solera matures slowly in the cool, fresh climate of the Quetzaltenango highlands, 2,300 meters above sea level. Using the Solera method, several barrels, at least six years old, are blended together.
Zacapa Centenario XO uses rum aged for up to 25 years. The Guatemalan experience is then refined in French oak cognac casks, which impart a smooth, silky texture.
